Provide vital support for our frontline teams and the customers they support

Home > Our Services > Central support services

We couldn’t do what we do without expert support. As part of our Central Services team, you’ll use your specialist skills to help us do our best for customers.

Some Central Services staff are based in our Westminster Head Office, while others are agile, working from home or other service locations. In all, we have around 100 professionals working in Finance, Property Services, Landlord Services, Business Development, IT, Customer Experience, Communications, Governance and our People Team.

Wherever your skills lie, you’ll need relevant experience and/or qualifications to join us in Central Services. If you have lived experience of any of the needs we support customers with – as many of our staff do - this will give you an excellent insight. Whatever your background, you’ll have an opportunity to make an impact in a friendly, supportive team.

This wide range of areas means that roles in Central Services are extremely varied. You can also join us at different levels: officer, manager and head of function. There are clear career pathways that can help you map out your development and build an exciting future. Feel at home in your career in one the following teams:

Hear from our people about work in our Central support services

“I knew I wanted to work in a role where I could make a difference and help people, but I knew working directly probably wasn’t for me. But I knew I stil had skills and qualities that could benefit Look Ahead’s work.

Bringing my professional skills and qualifications to a Central Support Service role was the ideal solution. My corporate role helps services which in turn helps our customers. We have a saying here that if you’re not supporting a customer at Look Ahead, you’re supporting someone who is.

It’s been the best of both worlds for me. I get to work as part of a corporate team in a really interesting and very varied organisation, but I also get to see and hear first hand the impact of the organisation’s work – by visiting or spending time in our services or working alongside our operational colleagues. I may not be frontline but I can say with confidence my work has an impact.”
